São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Smart Cities |
The School will have world-class Computer Science researchers covering multiple aspects of Smart Cities research and technology. Two highly-intensive weeks of short courses, panels, lightning talks, hands-on workshops, and socio-cultural activities.
FAPESP will cover the expenses for 75 top graduate students and post-docs around the world.
Topics addressed
The school is centered on ten advanced courses and other, shorter activities such as keynotes, basic courses, and discussion panels with experts in the field. Finally, student presentations consisting of Lightning Talks complete the expected activities. It will be a unique experience for the advancement of the research on Smart Cities.
The school will gather world class specialists on fields like Mobile Networks, Internet of Things, Sustainability, Visualization, Large Scale Simulation, Innovation, Privacy, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Software Frameworks – all of them with a strong Computer Science background.
The school on Smart Cities will take place at the Biblioteca Brasiliana in the University of São Paulo on the weekdays from July 24th to August 4th, 2017. The main sponsor is FAPESP and the event is also supported by CAPES. We are also looking for sponsorship from industrial partners.
The official language of the school will be English.
