São Paulo Advanced School of Comparative Oncology

Comparative oncology represents a unique and ideal platform for cancer scientists to connect basic, clinical, and translational research that will continue to lead to effective cancer therapies and prevention strategies. These studies have improved the assessment of novel treatments for human beings by treating pet animals, specially dogs and cats, with naturally occurring cancer. This new area has undergone a special development over the past decades and has increasingly attracted the attention of researchers who are interested in etiopathogenesis, tumor biology, morphogenesis, epidemiology, and cutting-edge cancer therapeutics. This project aims to bring together leading researchers from different institutions and countries as well as students to discuss molecular and applied medicine. The environment in the school is of extreme information, learning and interaction, opening opportunities for advancement in knowledge and effective collaborations.
