MBL0ICB-FAPESP Joint Courses |
MBL FAPESP USP Joint Courses were a five days long SPSAS for advanced graduate students, post-docs, and independent investigators, with focus on two subjects: Biology of Parasitism and Neural Systems and Behavior.
The school was a joint initiative of MBL (Marine Biological Laboratory / United States) and USP (University of São Paulo / Brazil), with the support of FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation).
The 1st course regarded the molecular basis of para site function and the host/site interaction, with special emphasis on the most recent developments in these areas.
In the 2nd course, the topics ranged from evolution and development of the nervous system to learning, memory and social behavior.
