Advances in Molecular Oncology: Translating Molecular Biology into Cancer Treatment |
A ESPCA - Advances in Molecular Oncology: Translating Molecular Biology into Cancer Treatment (2013) foi organizada pela FMUSP/ICESP, com coordenação dos Professores Maria Aparecida Nagai, Roger Chammas, Lois Mulligan e Robert Gilles, e apoiada pela FAPESP.
A escola contou com a participação de 33 palestrantes nacionais e 28 estrangeiros, reconhecidos internacionalmente na área de pesquisa em oncologia, com programa multidisciplinar, combinando sessões plenárias sobre temas abrangentes na área de câncer, sessões paralelas e minicursos abordando de conceitos básicos à pesquisa translacional em câncer.
Foram abordados avanços atuais abrangendo aspectos da genética e epigenética do câncer, epidemiologia molecular, transição epitélio mesênquima, microambiente tumoral, morte celular e mecanismos de metástase da pesquisa básica à translacional.
O programa científico inclui também sessões de pôster para ampliar a participação dos jovens investigadores e criar oportunidades de interação informal e formação de redes de trabalho.
Foram selecionados 60 estudantes e jovens pesquisadores de instituições estrangeiras e 62 de instituições nacionais.
A ESPCA reuniu pesquisadores chave da área de pesquisa em Oncologia Molecular e Translacional e estudantes e jovens pesquisadores procurando criar um fórum de discussão e fomentando colaborações nessa crescente, mas ainda carente área de pesquisa em oncologia.
